Butterfly Project NYC Native Plant Share October 12

American Snout

Fall Native Plant Share
Saturday, October 12th, 11am – 1pm, Brook Park
Brook Avenue and 141st Street, Bronx

Join Butterfly Project NYC, Bronx Green-Up of The New York Botanical Garden and the Friends of Brook Park to learn how to divide overgrown perennial plants thus increasing the number of useful native plants in a garden. A portion of the event will also briefly demonstrate how to choose and establish native  plants for a pollinator garden.  Following the workshops, prepare to take native plants and some of the newly divided perennials back to your park, community or school garden.  Plants are available for planting in public spaces in NYC while supplies last – see details below. Registration will begin at 11am and RSVP is strongly recommended.
