Harlem Green Tour Saturday, August, 31

Come see outstanding  vegetables, unique herbs, fruit, gazebos, hoop houses, grape arbors, ponds and  more in this sampling of Harlem’s Community Gardens. The tour will begin at  10:00 a.m. with breakfast on West 122nd Street at the JD Wilson Memorial  Garden. For those who need it, a bus will transport people on the tour provided  by the NYC Parks Department. The grand finale will take place at the William A.  Harris Garden with delicious Harlem barbeque. Harvest Fair Saturday, September, 7

NYC  Parks GreenThumb and  Bronx Green-Up invite our gardeners, friends, and family to join us  for our annual Harvest Fair, which is a day of celebration and fun-filled  activities for the whole family!  There  will be live entertainment by Sergio Batista and Salvador Dominguez & Bambo  Yo, a harvest competition, hands-on activities for the children, hula hoop game  challenges, face painting, a piñata and the NYC Parks  Play Mobile. There will also be workshops on environmental education  and gardening at schools, as well as a cooking demonstration and food samples.
