WildMetro Annual Superb Owl Walk Sunday 2/3/13

For the first time the WildMetro Annual Superb Owl Walk will be held in Central Park. Due to popular demand there will be two walks, one starting at 10 am and one starting at 2pm. New leaders for WildMetro are experienced Central Park birders Anders Poltomaa and Brian Padden. This event will also be our celebration of Ground Hog day. WildMetro president David Burg will explain why this is a ridiculous time of year for a holiday celebrating a hibernating mammal, and he will talk about why ground hogs are getting scarce in eastern U.S.

Please RSVP by email to or phone (917 846 8300) for meeting location. We are limiting the number of people on the walk so as to minimize disturbance of the birds. These walks are free, but we will pass the hat if you care to make a good will offering. – David Burg
