Community Greens

People of all colors discussing evergreen ideas.

Let’s Talk Food! May 1, 2010

Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr. invites you to the first ever Bronx Food Summit, a day-long event about eating well in the Bronx. The summit will serve to bring together Bronx residents, food lovers, food justice advocates, local businesses, schools and community organizations to discuss options for healthier food and better living in our borough.

Hands-on workshops and informative seminars will teach participants about where to find fresh local foods, how to prepare these foods and even how to grow their own fruits and vegetables right here in the Bronx.

Join Bronx Borough President Ruben Diaz Jr., Majora Carter, founder of Sustainable South Bronx, the Hip Hop community, Bronx celebrities, community and business leaders, students, families and others to network, learn and share delicious foods at the first ever BRONX FOOD SUMMIT.
